A full planning application for 70 new homes located off brecks Lane has been submitted
Avant Homes have submitted a detailed application after Rotherham Council’s planning board granted outline permission for the site in July 2020.
The land, which was previously green belt, was earmarked for development in Rotherham Council’s local plan.
Early stage plans for the land received 90 representations from local residents, these included a number of objections on the basis of lack of infrastructure, loss of privacy, detrimental impact on wildlife and increased demand for school places in the local area.
Avant have promise to install bird and bat boxes, and plant hedgerows and native trees across the site, and enclosed gardens will have ‘hedgehog cut outs’ in walls and fences.
